Sir E. Fraser sent you a copy of a despatch

which he addressed to Sir J. Jordan on some points

which had arisen in connection with the draft Companies

Order-in-Council in which he stated that I had

addressed a letter to Sir F.H. May the Governor of

Hongkong.

I have now received his answer and have the honour

to send you a copy of the correspondence, from which

you will see that there is no objection on the part

of the Colony to the changes proposed.
